A consistent number of specimens found in the Capo Peloro Lagoon Reserve, north-eastern Sicily, represents the first evidence of a not-occasional presence of B. biunguiculatus in Italian waters. The record, which definitively confirms the occurrence of B. biunguiculatus in Italian seas.
