The lesser amberjack Seriola fasciata is a subtropical Atlantic carangid which has extended its natural geographical range, entering the Mediterranean Sea through the Strait of Gibraltar. In 2014, one specimen was observed in the Canale Faro, Strait of Messina, Italy.
